There is a new feature in the approvals app that allows you to send approval requests to the requester of the ticket.
So rather than having to specify the individual for every request in the approval template, it can now be sent dynamically based on who submitted the ticket.
This allows for use cases where you want the requester to agree to certain timings, details, disclaimers, billing or terms and conditions before a ticket can proceed.
You can see this functionality in the approvals app when editing an approval template, under "Primary approver" there is now an extra selection for "Requester" like this:
