This article is regarding the Approvals app.
In the advanced section of the approvals template settings, you will see a checkbox called "Further approval needed in sequence".
Checking this box prevents the 'approval granted date' from being set on the ticket by this template under any conditions (even if the approval is granted). The reason why you might want to do this is that you have other approval templates that will take place after this one.
For example in the image above, when this approval is granted, it's been set to add the tag "purchase_approved_manager" to the ticket. This tag is what could then be used to initiate further approvals that need to take place before the ticket is properly deemed to be approved. See here for more tags and actions on tickets.
Yes on the final approval in any sequence, by leaving the checkbox "Further approvals needed in sequence" blank, once this approval is granted, this effectively marks the process complete. As per this article, it is only at this point the app stamps the ticket with the 'approval granted date'. You can then use a Zendesk trigger to look for the presence of the 'approval granted date' in order to spin off other workflows or automatically mark the ticket as 'solved'.
Is there a way to adjust this to "complete"?
When we onboard/offboard, I'm thinking of sending items to various people to say they have completed their parts - e.g.
1) Tech disables accounts
2) Security disables ID/FOB
3) Database changes and updated
